Home Dashboard
The Home Dashboard is your personalized command center in FanDesk — a real-time overview of everything that matters to you today.
Overview
When you open FanDesk, the Home Dashboard greets you by name based on time of day and displays your most important information at a glance:
- Time-aware greeting — "Good morning", "Good afternoon", or "Good evening"
- Tasks due today — Urgent, overdue, and upcoming tasks
- Today's calendar — Your schedule for the day
- Recent messages — Latest activity in Chat
- Recent files — Files you or your team modified recently
- Quick actions — One-click shortcuts to common tasks
Customizable Widgets
The dashboard is organized into cards that give you actionable information without switching modules.
My Tasks Card
Displays your top open tasks sorted by priority and due date:

| Orange label | High priority |
| Yellow label | Medium priority |
| Gray label | Low priority |
| Red text date | Overdue |
| Bold date | Due today |
Click any task to open its full detail view. Click "+ New Task" to create one directly from the dashboard.
Upcoming Events Card
Shows your next calendar events from:
- Google Calendar (if connected) — displayed in blue
- Native FanDesk events — displayed in the accent color
- Task due dates appearing as all-day events — displayed in orange
Each event shows the title, time, and a Join link if it's a video meeting.
Recent Messages Card
The 5 most recent conversations from Chat:
- Sender name and avatar
- Message preview (truncated)
- Unread count badge
- Time since last message
Click any conversation to jump directly to it in Chat.
Recent Files Card
Your 5 most recently accessed or modified Drive files:
- File type icon (Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDF, image, etc.)
- File name
- Which Google account it belongs to (if you have multiple)
- Last modified time
Click any file to open it.
Task Overview
The task section on Home is a summary view — not a replacement for My Tasks. It shows:
- Tasks with due dates today
- Overdue tasks (sorted by how late they are)
- Up to 5 tasks at once
For the full task list with filtering, sorting, and views, go to My Tasks (shortcut: 2).
Calendar Preview
The calendar widget shows today's schedule:
- All events in chronological order
- Event title, time, and duration
- Visual color coding by source
- Google Meet join links inline

Recent Activity
The Home Dashboard picks up activity from across the platform:
- Pages recently edited by you or teammates
- Tasks recently assigned or updated
- Files recently shared with you
- Messages from active conversations
This gives you a passive awareness of what's happening without needing to check every module.
Quick Actions Grid
Six one-click shortcuts for the most common actions:

Time-Aware Greeting
The dashboard greets you based on the current time in your configured timezone:

| 12 PM - 5 PM | "Good afternoon, [Name]" |
| 5 PM - 9 PM | "Good evening, [Name]" |
| 9 PM - 5 AM | "Good night, [Name]" |
